Fashionable charity auction for Lviv kids
It is fashion able to be charitable, so it was no surprise to find a host of well-known society personalities at the recent charity auction held to mark the fourth Lviv Fashion Week series of catwalk shows. Held in the sumptuous surrounds of the city’s Leopolis Hotel on 24 October 24, the auction featured such must-have items as a necklace designed by Ukrainian fashion leading light Roksolana Bogutska and pop star Ruslana. The highest price was paid for a necklace created by Lviv First Lady Kateryna Kit-Sadova and purchased by Oksana Bilozir for UAH 3500, who later gave it to celebrated Lviv playwright Roman Viktyuk. A grand total of almost UAH 30,000 was raised by the auction, which will now go towards financing new beds for children’s wards at Lviv’s hospitals.
