Lviv outdoor ice-skating rink opens,
End of November, Rynok Square, close to the City Council Hall
Lviv’s annual city centre ice-skating focus returns this November and promises to bring its particular brand of timeless cheer to Lviv Old Town throughout the festive season. While doctors have been advising Lviv citizens to avoid large gatherings of people due to the current flu threat in the country, there is thought to be little change of catching any viral infections via open air contact, making this outdoor skating rink the perfect way to beat the monotony of anti-flu social isolation. Lviv’s state-of-the-art city centre rink will function in all weathers and can guarantee ice in temperatures of up to +15. The rink operates daily from 10.00 until 22.00 and prices are reasonable: kids up to 12 years old can skate UAH 10 per hour before 17.00 and UAH 15 an hour afterwards on weekdays, with ratings rising to UAH 25 per hour on weekends. Adults can expect to pay a little more, with an additional UAH 10 to 20 for skate hire if required.
