On November 23 Lviv welcomed  the best of Ukrainian bodybuilding  for their annual showdown, with  local Lviv legend and multiple body-building world champion Svyatoslav  Sheremeta and his female counter- part and fellow world champ Olena Stadnyk acting as this year’s judges.

Winners in the various height  categories were Mykhaylo Tarabrin  (Sevastopol) Anatoliy Semerenko and Volodymyr Granevsky (both  from Tyraspol) and Yuriy Kovalev of  Donetsk. The national champion for  2008 was named as Yuriy Kovalev.
