Clubs and restaurants across the city hosted  special party programmes on December  31 as Lviv residents forgot the worries  of the working world and welcomed in  the New Year. Lviv’s going out scene has  benefited from a growing number of New  Year holiday tourists in recent years, and  while the number of foreigners visiting  Lviv is expected to be impacted by the  global financial crisis, local restaurant and  club owners are hoping that this will be  countered by a growing number of Ukrainian  tourists opting to spend their holiday time  inside Ukraine and explore Lviv.
