Ukrainian Snow Sculptors Preparing for Canada
Ukraine’s finest snow and ice sculptors gathered in Lviv on January 5 for a seasonal arts initiative that created snow and ice artworks outside the city’s celebrated Dzyga Gallery. Ukrainian artists Orest Dzyndra (Lviv), Sergiy Klapetura (Vinnitsa) and Petro Romanyk (Kyiv) will all be representing the nation at the February 1-9 Festival of Snow Sculpture in Canada’s Quebec province, and they presented their planned sculptural designs to the Lviv public. Meanwhile, ice artist Myroslav Dedyshyn presented his angel, which is destined to fly all the way to the annual Crystal Garden ice sculpture contest in the Canadian capital
