February 19 saw diplomats and dignitaries led by French Ambassador to Ukraine Jacques Foureau celebrate at the opening of the new French Alliance centre, which is located within Lviv’s Ivan Franko National University. Located at 18a Ohiyenko Street, the new centre will offer French language courses and access to French culture. Its appearance marks the latest stage in a blossoming courtship between Lviv and la belle France, with a host of cultural offerings providing Leopolitans with a taste of Gallic charm in recent years. These events have included French kino screenings and book presentations.
